Today, the buyer, coming to the building supermarket, specialized store or market for wallpapers, will be surprised by the huge number of products on offer. A lot of sellers praise their goods, and it is difficult for the buyer to navigate in this amount of offers.
There are many signs and indicators by which wallpapers can be classified: the basis, printing methods, the presence of a pattern, the number of layers, the scope, density, moisture resistance and others.
As you know, no one except the manufacturer will be able to tell so accurately and fully about this. We present to your attention some "technological tricks" that will help you decide on a quality approach when choosing wallpapers:
Let's get started...
The basis
All products of JSC ”SLOVYANSKI SHPALERY-KFTP” are based on high-quality, environmentally friendly paper or fleece. The advantages of these materials have been known for more than a day - this is ecological cleanliness and breathability, because walls pasted over with paper or non-woven fabric have the ability to "breathe". Paper and non-woven wallpapers are very popular, among other things, due to their high quality.
In order to make the base of the wallpapers, paper of different densities is used: from 80-130 g / m2, the use of one or another grade depends on what type of wallpaper will be made.
Coating
A coating is everything that is applied to the base. Our wallpapers are made using gravure printing, which is one of the highest quality technologies today. In the manufacture of the coating, only high-quality raw materials are used - materials that are harmless to health: water-soluble paints, non-toxic latexes and plastisols from the best European manufacturers. Due to the high quality of these coatings, the wallpapers have good light fastness, high abrasion resistance, washability and other features. Their colour stability is guaranteed for at least five years.
When choosing vinyl wallpapers, it must be remembered that its quality is determined primarily by the thickness of the vinyl coating: the thicker the vinyl layer, the more durable the surface of the wallpaper and the more resistant it is to wet cleaning, which consists in washing with a soft brush using detergents on alcohol or alkaline basis. It should be noted that the vinyl does not turn yellow and has a high resistance to ultraviolet radiation, so that the wallpaper does not fade and retain a fresh look throughout the entire period of operation.
The advantage of the vinyl collections of "Slavic wallpaper" lies in the peculiarity of the coating - these are micropores that promote moisture exchange and allow the walls to "breathe".
Quality
The quality of our wallpapers is stable and indisputable, this is confirmed by numerous awards at various international exhibitions and competitions, and finally, by the choice of people who chose the products of JSC “SLOVYANSKI SHPALERY-KFTP”.

Has your apartment become uncomfortable? No problem! Just do not rush to rearrange and buy new furniture. Try changing your wallpapers. The designer’s advice will help you to choose the right colour, tone, and pattern:
Drawing and color
Skillfully using colours, you can visually increase or decrease the size of the room. There is a rule that black and white, blue and purple visually enlarge the space. Red is associated with wealth and luxury, while orange and yellow can make a large room cosier. Properly selected shades of red look good in the hall, living room, kitchen. Psychologists consider deep purple to be the colour of creativity. Orange inspires cheerfulness and joy. Yellow is very warm.
The smaller the room, the lighter the wallpapers should be and the smaller their pattern. And vice versa, the larger the room, the richer the colours and the larger the pattern. In turn, the larger the pattern, the softer its colour should be.
For rooms with low ceilings (2.5-3 m), wallpapers with vertical stripes are preferable: they visually “raise” the ceiling. Wallpapers with a pattern in the form of diamonds "expand" the room. For dark rooms, you need light wallpapers in warm colours: light lemon, light golden, light beige ...
A room with south-facing windows is best covered with wallpapers in rich colours: golden orange, dark blue, terracotta. Such wallpapers will absorb excess light.
It is recommended to paste over a high and narrow room, dividing it into three parts in height. Paste the lower two-thirds with wallpapers of more saturated colour, and the third, which is closer to the ceiling, with light ones.
For rooms in the country, light-coloured wallpapers with discreet ornaments are suitable, they will reliably hide possible uneven walls.
If the room has ledges and beams (as a rule, old houses abound in them), you need to choose wallpapers with a colourful pattern. With them, the protrusions will not be conspicuous.
In adjacent rooms, you need to select wallpapers in such a way that the change in colours from one room to another is smooth. For example, in a large room - golden, small - light lemon, hallway - light brown ...
And, of course, the wallpapers should be in harmony with the furniture, its colour and style. It must be remembered that wallpapers are still easier to change (and cheaper) than furniture.
Tone selection
It's not a secret that green is soothing. It is good everywhere, but especially in the nursery. A room in green tones seems to be some kind of fabulous. Fashionable blue fixtures are widely used in bathrooms today - a calm blue light emphasizes the shine of the tiles. But our faces do not benefit from the blue component of the spectrum. In no case do not hang blue shades and lampshades in the kitchen! The kitchen is usually decorated in light colors, the most preferred is light blue or blue-green, creating the impression of coolness and spaciousness; in small kitchens, you can use a rich color - blue, green, etc.
Calm tones are the perfect background for expensive items. On a light gray background, solid furniture will look great. Light green and blue visually increase the size of the room.
Wallpapers and space
This topic provides brief recommendations for choosing a wallpaper pattern depending on the size of the room.
Low rooms seem higher if the walls are covered with wallpapers with vertical lines up to the ceiling. In this case, the ceiling should be very light. If necessary, the ceiling should be additionally illuminated.
The room appears to be lower when using a horizontal striped pattern. The impact is increased if the pattern does not reach the ceiling. You can complete the wallpapers with a border. A similar effect is achieved if the ceiling is darker than the walls and the lamps are directed downwards.
The room seems deeper if one wall is covered with wallpapers, the colour of which visually recedes into the background, for example, calm blue or blue-green, and the adjacent side walls are made lighter. It is good to paste over the ceiling with wallpapers in a longitudinal strip.
A small room seems larger if you choose light plain wallpapers with a small pattern. You can use a rhombic pattern or paste over one wall without windows and doors with wallpapers with a large pattern.
A large room will look smaller if you decide to have rich colours, large patterns and slanted lines, as diagonals narrow the space.
Whether your home will be cosy and comfortable or vice versa, “cold” and annoying depends on your choice of pattern and colour. After all, our well-being, mood and even personal life depend on the colour of the situation. We hope that these tips, if not able to fully replace a professional designer, helped to gain the necessary skills for arranging your home. I wish you success!

WHAT DO THE SYMBOLS ON THE LABELS MEAN?

WHAT CAN YOU LEARN FROM THE LABEL?
The purpose of the label is to convey the necessary information to the buyer. The label of our wallpapers contains all the necessary information that may be useful to the consumer.

Tool
For successful wallpapering, you will need a working tool. You won't need any special skills to handle it, but its presence is mandatory.
1. Bucket
2. Wide spatula
3. Sponge, rags
4. Sharp knife
5. Pencil
6. Smoothing brush (or rubber roller)
7. Plumb (laser level)
8. Scissors
9. Meter
10. Glue brush
11. Work surface (table)
12. Roller for seams (joints)

Now let's move on to the phased implementation of the work.

Stage 1 WALL SURFACE PREPARATION
Old wallpapers must be carefully removed from the walls. To do this, it is better to wet them - then things will go much easier.
If the walls are painted with dispersion paints, oil paints or varnishes, check whether they adhere firmly to the wall surface. If not, feel free to clean off the old paint - it is no longer needed. If the paint is still fresh and does not “pour”, the surface must be treated with an alkali solution, and then the wall should be washed with water (otherwise the glue will not hold).
Holes and cracks, if necessary, are treated with putty and plastered, after which the surface must be primed with an adhesive solution. The wall must be dry, strong and clean. If you have done everything according to the rules, proceed to the next step - cutting the wallpaper.

Stage 2 HOW TO CUT THE WALLPAPER?
First check if all rolls have the same batch number, pattern and tone. When cutting off the canvas, add five centimeters for allowances on both sides. If you cut wallpapers with an offset pattern, be careful! It is necessary to mark and cut the pieces so that the pattern on the neighbouring panels matches, and a single picture is obtained: for example, so that the flowers on the neighbouring pieces coincide with the flowers, and the leaves with the leaves. It is important that the wallpapers unwind from the roll in one direction.

Stage 3 APPLICATION OF GLUE
We recommend to buy a special wallpaper glue TM "Slavic wallpapers". First, mix it thoroughly and wait until it swells completely, then apply it evenly on the wallpaper panels. Then fold them in a ratio of 2/3 : 1/3 and roll them up for 5 minutes so that the glue is absorbed. Make sure that all strips are soaked for ˜ 10 min. (More detailed instructions are on the label itself)

Stage 4 WALLPAPERING
The first panel should always be glued, starting from the window. First, using a plumb line (laser level), mark a vertical line and attach the first canvas strictly along it - then the rest of the strips will be the same. Leave an edge of about 5 cm at the bottom and the top so that you can level it later.
In order to avoid bubbles, you need to smooth the wallpapers - from the middle to the edges. It is best to take a soft brush, rubber roller or plastic spatula for this. If necessary, glue can be applied again at the junction. Spots of glue on the front side should be immediately gently blotted with a sponge, but in no case to rub. The edges of the wallpapers protruding from above and below are cut off.

Instructions for wallpapers for painting
We offer a large selection of vinyl wallpapers designed for subsequent painting. Their use allows you to get a coating with the desired structure, as well as hide minor defects in the pasted surface.
Painting wallpapers with water-dispersion paints is currently the most common and simple type of decorative finish.
The main advantage of this type of decorative finish is the finishing coating - paint. Here you can give free rein to your imagination, move away from traditional solutions and decorate the interior according to your taste, especially in combination with decorative types of colouring. Also, painting makes it possible to further decorate the surface.

Decorative properties are largely determined by the quality of wallpaper pasting, so this technological operation requires certain skills.
It is necessary to carefully prepare the wall. Its surface must be clean and dry. The glue should be applied with a knurling roller to a clean wall surface, as well as to the wallpaper. The cut strips should rest for 7-10 minutes before pasting, after which you can paste over the walls with them and smooth the surface by removing air bubbles with a rubber roller. For surface painting, it is necessary that the walls dry well. Once dry, apply one to two coats of paint using a roller.
*Tip: To ensure that the paint dries properly, do not allow strong cold or hot air currents in the room. Pay attention to the manufacturer's instructions.
For painting wallpapers, we recommend using various types of water-based, acrylic, and latex paints.
For the painted surfaces to retain their original colour scheme, to guarantee cosiness and comfort for many years, consult with specialists.

Painted wallpapers have many advantages:
Individual ideas for making designs and choosing colours. Creativity and variety of possibilities in combination of designs and colours of the collection. High manufacturability and convenience of processing rooms, simplicity and versatility of use. Wallpaper colouring allows you to change the interior of the room several times.
